The trouble with those is mostly the giant monsters. Starting to get the hang of them. The problem is that they make some of the maps cruelly tiny, so it's a real job to keep the giant monster on the other side of the map. Sort of an art.
I find with those missions, it's worthwhile to kill the first couple/few leaders so they don't power up their minions, but if I'm almost done then I stop bothering and just shoot for the last minions I need (kind of obvious, but yeah. It's the tradeoff of "if I spent a minute killing this guy, will it be worth it if it's only gonna take me another two minutes to finish the mission?")
