It had been hours since Ace had arrived, and yet he still sat at the foot of the fountain. Thoughts had run rampant through his skull until he could finally come to terms with this new world. It was not all negativity that had wracked his once mortal mind. Excitement, trepidation, confusion, ambition and anxiousness had subdued him, leaving Ace in psychosomatic shock for the first time in his life.
He finally stood, ready to finally test if what Omni said was true. Step one was simple. His trusted sword, a priceless artifact bestowed upon him as a token of respect from a master smith, was still only steel. If what Omni said was true, then this would not do. No, it too had to be endowed with this Omnilium. The weapon in his hand had been by his side for but a year now, yet without it he felt naked. The laws of Japan had made it impossible to carry his prize in public without working for the police force, which did not interest him so much. To many laws to remember and Asa felt more "chaotic good."
As he focused upon his weapon, he could feel reserved power drain from him and into the sword - bringing into his awareness the fact that there was this untapped potential. Interesting, he mused, a grin splitting his features. The new weightlessness of his sword was not the only thing he noticed about his weapon. Though he had always felt attached, if only emotionally, that attachment had grown. It felt as much a part of him as his own hand.
You still need a name... I'm still working on it... Until then, his nameless bound sword would have to wait. Ace would not give his weapon a poor name. It would be like naming his own child Fredwaldfits because he was just indecisive.
He sighed, wrapping a loose bandage of the weapon's sheath around his shoulder before tying the weapon in place. It may not be the most elegant looking accessory, but it felt at home where it resided. "I guess the only thing to do now is to... go somewhere..." Everything was ready to go, except for a destination. Where would he possibly go?
He could see, just barely, what looked like gates in the distant. What was beyond them he could only guess, but it had to be more than what he saw in this white-walled world. "Eeny... Meeny... Miny... Moe. Down... that... path... we... go." The path chosen was too distant to see clearly, but Ace could only assume it would be a proper adventure. What were the chances that Omni would make two massive, blank white rooms? Either way, sitting here did him no good.
