Even in the nigh-perpetual night of Tier 4's privatized weather, it was the beginning of a new 'day' for one particular resident of the middling tier of the massive city. A cacophanous crash rang out from speakers framing a large monitor, the screen showing the increasingly flame-composed wreckage of an F-Zero vehicle. Todd's latest bet was also going up in flames along with the driver. It sure was a good thing it had only been proverbial pocket change this time, or else that might have hurt just a little.
Dismissing his relatively diminutive losses on the latest race, Todd turned his attention to other matters. Namely, a large robotic arm that, he hoped, would do...something. Lots of servos and gears and such that was supposed to increase hand-arm strength. Or shatter his bones. The drafted plans were kind of unclear in the possible risks. Long as he didn't cross any wires it should all work out for the best, though!
.....on second thought this was probably a really shitty idea. It wasn't even halfway finished and already it just looked dangerous. And THAT was saying something, considering where Todd made his living.
It was something to tackle later on, maybe. Once the day had really begun.
