So I just wanted to once again thank everyone for their input.
As you know, this summer's event will be 'Option D', which is the PvP-optional version of the event.
Here are some things to throw out there.
->Event is scheduled to begin sometime in mid/late June. Registration/preshow/whatever you want to call it will begin at least a week and a half before that date. Overall duration is unknown at this moment, but I'd expect it to be longer than last year. This event will have a slower pace than last year.
->Your character will be personally invited to participate in a Syntech-sponsored 'exploratory' mission into the Danteverse. While this event will be called 'Dante's Abyss' by me for the sake of simplicity and whatnot, in-character it will not be referred to that.
->You must sign a waiver before boarding the plane.
->There will be very minor handicaps to primes in regards to Powers and 'flavor-of-life' things that most primes are used to
->While the focus of this is PvE/story, Damage and SP still play a role and should be resources that people make sure they manage
->There won't be 'Items' akin to DA15 or HG, but there will be support items awarded throughout the event. These might be restorative (health/SP), flavor items, or they might be clues to the story
->Collaborating with other primes is optional. Being in a group won't insulate you from elimination but may help with other dangers. PvP is likewise optional and very much a risk-reward thing. Just do what your character would do in the situation. #BeYourself
->Karl Jak will be on the plane with the group of participants.
->Writers may be able to join as not-their-prime
Anyway, there's a little more to it than that, but hopefully that'll whet appetite while I type up something prettier.
Anyone have any questions? Input?

Quote:'In this event, contestants crash on an island. It is up to the survivors to figure a way off the island. They may work together or alone. The host will serve much like a GM in a tabletop RPG by providing prompts and events that progress the story or give clues to the primes. Every X number of OOC days will constitute ‘a round.’ At the end of each round, the host will give one individual a prize and then eliminate one individual from the pool of contestants (this may result in death or simply mean that person is ineligible to ‘win’ at the end).'I just wanted to see if anyone had any inquiries in the lead-up to me actually putting together the formal rules/formats for the event.
