The glass doors to the library slid open as Cyborg walked in. Stopping his his tracks he couldn't help but view the large library in awe. He once thought the the library at the Watchtower was extensive but the library of Courscant made the watchtower library look like a small book stand. The walls were filled with thousands of books leading to the top of ten story building. A large staircase led upwards to each of the several floors. An elevator off to left led to each of the floors as well. The floors were made of an obsidian granite that matched perfectly with the ivory pillars that held each floor firmly in place.
The entire first floor had rows of what Cyborg assumed was computers. The high level of technology of Courscant once again impressed him. A disc projected a screen allowing the users to interface with their respective terminals.
"Sir? Can I help you?" Said a woman sitting behind the desk near the front of the library. She peered down at Cyborg confused at why he had been standing in the door way as long as he apparently had.
"Oh sorry, I'm just amazed at the size of this library. I've never seen anything like this before. Our libraries aren't this... Beautiful, back where I come from."
The librarian beamed down at him.
"Ah yes we take great pride in our facility of knowledge" she said flourishing her hands as she motioned to the entirety of the massive library. "So sir how may I help you" she said smiling. She stepped down from her desk and stood closer to the large metal man.
"Well. I'm new to this.... This Omniverse, I want to learn as much as I can about my new home I suppose. So can I use one of the computer terminals?" He said motioning to the many rows terminals
"Oh of course! Let me get you a sign in and assign you a computer. I love when Primes come in here looking for knowledge rather than causing a ruckus. I mean just a month or so ago a long haired man and a man in a red mask came in here and destroyed half the library. Took weeks to clean up!" She said throwing her arms in the air. Cyborg listened attentively, shaking his head in sympathy. It seemed crime's dirty hands infected even the most pristine of places.
The librarian came back down from her desk with a log in sheet and a number.
"Terminal thirty four is open. Take all the time you need. The library doesn't close for another several hours, let me know if there is anything you need." The librarian said. Handing over the paper she returned to her desk and picked up her book she had been reading.
With a nod, Cyborg smiled and walked to his assigned computer.
The groaned under Cyborg's weight as he sat down. Cyborg noticed a USB port, with a smile he raised his finger up to the the port. A thin blue wire came out of his index finger and snaked its way to the port.
As soon as it connected a sharp pain shot up his arm.
"Virus detected" Cyborg's internal computer chimed.
"What the hell?" He said raising his arm. The inboard diagnostics menu projected Cyborg's entire body. The screen flickered a moment before the voice chimed again.
"False alarm"
"Mmm strange" Cyborg said as he lowered his arm and returned his gaze to the projected screen.
Cyborg began quickly began to download everything his system could handle on Courscant.
Cyborg was impressed that this Omniverse had its own internet serve, The Dataverse. He read that other primes had posted their own commentary on the Omniverse. The battle of Death mountain on going in the Ashen Steeppes sounded particularly interesting.
Cyborg wished he had a way of communicating with these other primes.
The orb that Omni had given him in the Nexus suddenly appeared from Cyborg's chest. The colors rapidly changed brightly, as if it were showing it's master it's will to serve him. The constant changing of colors mesmerized Cyborg. A USB stick dropped on the table as the orb dulled and returned to its resting place in his chest.
Cyborg picked up the stick and placed it into his own port into his arm.
"Communication and Uplink device integrated" Cyborg's computer chimed.
"Boo Yah" Cyborg said with a chuckle as he went back to searching the Dataverse.
