Regarding fictional versions of real-life famous figures
#5
(04-29-2016, 05:31 PM)Dark Link Wrote: I am inclined to say no. At least based on your description, Markiplier from Dream.exe is essentially just the real Markiplier placed into a video game. A real-life figure appearing in a piece of media as themselves is not justification for being able to use that person as a character, since practically all aspects of the 'character' are essentially just the qualities and characteristics of the real-life figure.

As a general rule, the more the 'character' is an entity onto itself, separate from its creator, the more likely we are to permit it as a character in the Omniverse. The only potential exception to this rule is if a member (somehow) has explicit permission from the person in question to roleplay as them.

Okay then. Have plenty of other ideas in my head, anyway, and this was just kind of a random idea that popped into my head, so...*shrug*
