Vin from Mistborn would be awesome to play as... but you'd need like EVERY proficiency and like a dozen powers to accurately represent her even though a lot of her powers are pretty weak and only really "that strong" when used in concert.
I've also thought about running Vin, have her as a kingdom spy mostly in Coruscant, would be fun. You are right though that her abilities wouldn't work very well for this system, since she kinda dips lightly into every power, but doesn't fully utilize it.
My thought was either to play her or Elend Venture (in the last book in that cycle). Have them DISCOVERING their powers as they went. Like "welp... time to learn to access all the metals all over again..."
Looking over the Proficiency list it would probably be able to be summed up with like:
Physical Strength, Ranged Proficiency, Remote Control Proficiency, Super Jumping (advanced), Enhanced Senses, and maybe like Basic Regeneration? That would be like... 5,800 (before moves).
Steel and Iron could be ranged attack stuff, Remote Control Proficiency, and super jumping?
Strength and regen could be pewter
Enhanced senses for tin and bronze?
Later on pick up like Foresight or something for atium? Or have one of your supers be like crazy speed/prediction stuff?
For the mental stuff... I dunno. Maybe later on pick up like debuff prof. but I don't think they'd be as important- just use them for RPing stuff.
But, I mean, you could probably get away with just like Steel and Iron off the bat, make a few moves based on that (push and pull using ranged and remote) then pick up the pewter stuff as you went, eventually spend 400 on debuff.
