The Searing Sword
#16
After the Trial and the sentencing,   Warren had been assigned something he didn't like to do. Specifically they'd ordered that he'd be cleaning patrol cruisers without a break of any kind for the next twenty four hours.  Groaning,  Warren immediately started on the assignment that he would rather not do but had to do as the alternative was prison.  It was times like these that he wished he had a weapon.  Cleaning was going to be a royal pain in his butt because he didn’t like cleaning to begin with when it was not mandatory. Yet this assignment was mandatory unless he served a prison sentence he had no intention of serving.  Of course they hadn’t been able to remove his armor which was a blessing in disguise for him actually.
Growling in irritation Warren walked to where one of the filthiest of the Imperial Cruisers was and immediately started work.  Getting down on his hands and knees,  he started to clean the underside of the cruiser and do his best to make it spotless.   As he was down on his hands and knees a single clone trooper came over and viciously kicked him a couple of times before walking off.  Wincing in pain,  Warren resumed the cleaning and not 3 hours later had the first of the 10 he was supposed to have cleaned cleaned up.   Heads were going to roll on Coruscant when he regained the full use of his abilities he was going to come back and every last one of the Clones on this planet was going to suffer the wrath of Wild Card.  But revenge would have to wait until he wielded some real power which he presently lacked actually.

There had to be some way he could boost his own power in this world.  Perhaps the world possessed something similar to the “Anti Core” or the “Mega Cores” of his home world that he could use as a means of amplifying his own abilities to what they should be.    As he thought about this,  Warren let his body work on autopilot as it cleaned the vehicles of the clones.   In about five more hours,  he’d gotten 7 of the vehicles done and only had two more of them left for him to finish.   Victory was in sight,  but he’d need to do something more. The clones would need a reason to never underestimate the wild card.  But anything he did would likely result in more community service or injury to himself.   Still the clone who had kicked him was one of the ones Warren was going to personally punish when he had recovered his full strength and power. Yet now was not the time for him to even allow himself to fantasize on revenge but to do something else namely plot out an evil scheme of his own.   Powerful relics had to exist through one of the Gates that could be exploited by Wild Card and turned into a powerful asset for him to use.

If the Omni Individual was to be believed,   with enough Omnilium Warren could do whatever he wanted and become an unstoppable deity within his own right.   So it seemed he would need to achieve more power by obtaining this Omnilium in large enough quantities to where he could use it’s power.  After all the substance should have some potential usages that could be done.   It was said that ANYTHING could be made with Omnilium by someone who could use it properly.   Well after finishing the cleaning of the 2 vehicles and being almost exhausted Warren decided to put the words of Omni to the test.  Holding out his hand he concentrated because he needed a way to defend himself,  a way to cut down those who would rise up against him in combat and cause him problems. What he needed was a weapon of one kind or other that could be put to use by him in this situation.   Purple Glyphs formed around his hands as a blade materialized appearing to be made out of a clear glasslike material.  The blade was made out of the material but the hilt appeared to be high tech.  It was styled like a Katana.

Once he had summoned it Warren immediately dismissed it because he didn’t need it presently. The mere realization he could summon a weapon did a lot to put his mind at ease.  For now he wasn’t entirely helpless and actually had a blade.  Of course learning to use the sword would likely be another story and one that would require someone more skilled with a sword than he was.  But he was not going to look for such an individual on Coruscant.  No,  he’d had quite enough of this planet for some time now.  He’d be leaving but at least the trip through the Gate had not been an entire waste.  It was on this world that Warren had discovered he still could fight because he now had the means to do battle should he need to.   A sword that he hadn’t named yet.  For now he’d call it a Chaotic Energy Katana.   As it was his blade he would make sure no one ever stole it and if they did he could probably summon it anew with Omnilium.

In any case what he needed to do now was learn more about where he was.   Coruscant seemed to be ruled by an Empire but it wasn’t the only world out there.  There were others concealed within the Gates and at least one potentially could hold the means he needed to restore his own power to what it should be. Level wise his own abilities weren’t even enough to take on a clone trooper.  This was going to need to change and change in a hurry if he was going to have any hope of survival wherever he was.   Groaning,  Warren spoke for his first time since he’d surrendered to the clones.    "It seems I underestimated the tactical advantage and number of the clone troopers.  This is a mistake I will not repeat again.   As it is now,  I need allies and reinforcements of my own that I presently lack.   Going back into the Nexus seems to be the best option because perhaps I could use it as a means of accelerating my travel."  Warren groaned as he looked at where the Portal was.  Arriving back at the Portal was going to take about half an hour but his body was tense and sore.

Of course after the cleaning he had done for the Empire he could expect his body to be sore and tired.  Those clones were going to DIE for meddling with his affairs once he had improved his own strength and capabilities to the levels where he needed them to be.  Scowling beneath his helmet,  Warren started to walk back towards the Portal that led to the Nexus.  There would be no more engaging the clone troopers of any kind done by him.  At least not for now,  while he was weak as a newborn child practically a problem that he was going to address at his earliest possibility.   Being helpless and weak was something that was completely undesirable because he had no means presently that he could use as a means of defense other than the Chaotic Energy Katana.  A lot was going to need to change in order so that he might stand a better chance of survival both now and in the future.

What he needed was someone who could train him in combat and that meant he’d need a mentor. While he was not entirely against the idea of learning to fight from someone,  Warren knew it would take up time. But it was a worthy investment actually.  Given that he didn’t possess the natural talents that others had with a blade,  Warren needed to learn how to handle one properly.  A sword was a weapon that was both elegant but also capable of terrible destruction. Only one of the Guardians of his world had ever wielded a sword and said individual had never fought him with the blade.  Going back to where the Portal was,  Warren had arrived there in about half an hour.  Coruscant was a place he didn’t intend on returning to until he was much stronger.  Growing his power meant he’d need to spend a lot of time training and questing after items and equipment. A base would be needed by him in a world somewhere and that was one of the things Warren was going to acquire.   An evil lair was definitely a must have because he’d need somewhere to create mechanical devices without interruptions from someone he didn’t want to be around presently.   The Clone Troopers were individuals he didn’t want to be around.  Once he had arrived at the location of the Portal he’d come through Warren would immediately walk through it  and leave Coruscant because he had no intention of being back for a long time.

"Looks like I've got a lot of work ahead of me in order to learn how to fight properly...."
