>Quickly redirect one part of the zerg army back to the Hive Cluster while the other half continues to scout around, searching for other units or settlements to swarm.
At the Hive Cluster, try to develop as many defensive units as possible and use them to keep us safe. Keep the drones on working duty unless the Overlord received too much damage, in which case, rush the attackers.
time to bring your forces back in an attempt to drive off these attackers. taking a gamble, you hope that half your maximum forces will be enough to drive off the attackers.
You realize you have an odd number of ultralisks to split. self preservation instincts make you decide to take two of them home.
Your mutalisks go ahead of your zerg forces, and begin dive-bombing the terran forces from above. parasitic glave wurms lance from the mutalisk's bodies and tear a group of the terran infantry to shreds, but as automatic fire angles upwards, the mutalisks are forced to retreat back to the rest of your forces. still, you got a good look at the attack party - a couple hundred colonists with a patchwork amalgamation of different weapons, some looking positively ancient. Terran marines are interspersed, and you've a feeling this is a portion of the militia force on the planet - though it is a militia force nonetheless.
As your zerg close in on the enemy terrans, the group, as though using a camera of some sort, begin to turn, heading out the way they came to evade your forces. how did they... wait...
focusing your mutalisks awareness, you spot it. they've been using small observation drones to catch you by surprise! you're relatively certain your mutalisks can knock them out of the sky if they are ordered to.
even so, while a portion of the colonists and marines manage to run, your zerg catch the majority. Zerglings swarm the colonists while Ultralisks kill dozens in a single swipe of their vicious kaiser blades. You lose forces, but not many, and the battle is over as quickly as it begins. You've lost many drones, a few overlords, and sustained massive damage to one of your hive clusters, though.
your scouting force, meanwhile, manages to find, not one, but two nearby terran settlements.
The first one, a small village to the north, seems to be armoring their village, iron plating being grafted into make-shift walls, as the colonists man hastily made sentry platforms. You estimate the village is home to a few thousand people, with much fewer being armed combatants.
The second settlement, a terran town to the northwest, seems completely abandoned. even as you explore the village more carefully, you find no one nearby.
