He’d finally caught up to the group. As he drew closer, he was able to see just how many members the little troupe contained. More interesting than that, they ran the gamut from small-looking lady to a giant, white-skinned monster of a man who looked like some type of yeti with his body coated in a thin layer of snow. Before he traversed the remaining space, he paused momentarily to process a red notification on his screen.
…‘Nexus incident.’ What does that mean? The preteen machine scowled as he looked through the contents of the notification. From a glimpse through the written message, it seemed like there’d been some sort of gruesome battle at the Nexus that involved the fusion of several primes. Apparently, a pocket verse had deposited several primes at the Fountain, and after that, egos had prevailed, leading to a string of murders at the heart of the Omniverse.
When he reached the end of the message, Mega Man watched a thirty second video clip that someone had captured from the Nexus. Some sort of burning skeleton was battling a collection of other primes with no discernible fatigue involved. After the first expanded segment of fists and explosions, there was a string of gruesome murders. The clip ended with the burning skeleton draining the omnilium from his victims and leaving the Nexus trailed by a large dragon.

Jogging forward, Mega Man caught up to the group, which sharply spun the moment they heard the crunch of snow beneath his boots.
“Uh, hey.” The robot lifted a hand and waved. “I’m Rock. You guys following the weird ghost letters too?”
