Nippur was still a day's walk from their current location, at least, a day's walk for a biomech who had almost limitless reserves of endurance. On the half-hearted road that had been etched into the otherwise trackless sands of the endless dunes, many different contraptions and transports whizzed or puttered by. Kopaka knew that summoning such a device would make the trip much more expedient, but long-walks across vast landscapes were really the only way that the Toa was comfortable traveling. He had suspected that Eon, for the human had at some point shared his name, would have simply summoned another two-wheeled mount and sped off into the dusty horizon.

Kopaka was somewhat surprised that the man decided to just keep pace with the Toa, even with an absurdly large object strapped to his back. It was an odd, unwieldy shape, and the biomech could not even remotely fathom what purpose it served. Kopaka's natural curiosity begged him to inquire, but this strange, oppressive feeling that had been plaguing him since the Camelot tournament would not permit such personal contact. Especially so, since Eon had not entirely expressed whether he considered Kopaka an ally or not. The Toa could only guess at what had happened between Eon and his first encounter with the Empire, but it had evidently been a bitter exchange.

After several more silent miles, however, even Kopaka's staunch nature gave in to sheer boredom. There was only so much time one could spend on introspection after all. Kopaka spoke, but did not slow his pace, nor did he turn to face his attache.

"The object you burden yourself with. What purpose does it serve?" Kopaka asked in a hushed tone. The sudden speech was a sharp withdrawal from the deep, resonating silence that had persisted up until that point.
