Of course not, I just figured that people were sick of 'Go hunt down and kill everyone on an island' after having to do so last summer and during Hero's Graveyard. I'd say that the voting thus far indicates more interest in something more collaborative, intuitive, less face paced, and lacking the traditional trappings (constraints) of previous events. I'm pretty excited for the two options with the highest vote counts, and when it comes to planning out how this will look in-character, I'll certainly be taking your advise and that of anyone else interested in having a voice.
And while I can't stop people from feeling compelled to screw over one another when the opportunity provides itself, neither of those concepts have anything built into them that promotes that. Will it happen? Obviously. And depending on how it goes down, people ought to be ready for whatever karmic consequences happen to them. I think Hero's Graveyard provided a pretty good example of that.
