Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
#6
Revan struggled to breath in the swirling vortex that spun and twisted in absurd and various patterns, wind whipping past her at high-velocity speeds. A dizzying array of colors swirled and glowed with a rare luminescence, like mottled stars in an inky black void. Revan reached out with the force, reveling in the whirlwind of power and the rush that it gave her. She laughed, breathless, at the feeling of weightlessness.

And then she was fired, like a bullet, into a darkly colored ground, ash and soot smearing across her clothes and body. A jagged rock that jutted out of the rock tore a shallow gash in her stomach, and she cried out in pain. As she curled into a ball on the ground, Revan could feel the oppressive atmosphere of this place begin to weigh on her mind. The heat was the first sensation her skin picked up as ash began to settle and cake onto Revan's skin, marring her pale complexion.

"I...need to...get moving." Each word she spoke was interrupted by a ragged breath, the air difficult to move in and out of her lungs. Revan stood slowly, trying not to aggravate the gash on her stomach, but to her surprise, she couldn't even feel the cut anymore. On further inspection, Revan saw a fresh scar but no open wound.

"That's...oddly convenient." Revan spoke slowly, her mind trying to find a logical explanation to all of these weird occurrences that seemed to surround her. No matter what she thought she could cook up to try and cope with all of this, her mind would not accept that this could be, in any way, logical. Revan made a noise of frustration, running her hands through her midnight locks as she observed her bleak surroundings. This world seemed to be a volcanic plain, trademark lava flows and ashen skies about as welcoming as a bed of vibroblades. She could, however, see a small group of people not far from where she was.

"Maybe they can help me figure out what the hell is going on." She muttered to herself, her long legs starting to move towards the small group. As she neared then, she could begin to make out the finer details of the group's members. The most noticeable was a tall man with long blonde hair and startling electric-blue eyes. He exuded an aura of confidence, a natural leader. The next was another man, shorter in stature than the former and very different in choice of clothing. He wore a leather jacket and a red mask, his face completely covered. The last of the trio was by far the most interesting to Revan, by a landslide.

It was a woman, as far as she could tell, with stark-white hair, and a long black coat of some sort draped over the majority of her body. It looked quite heavy and cumbersome. Revan reached out with the force to the woman, seeking to find out if she was any danger. She looked like a potential threat, and Revan wasn't sure if she was ready for a fight just yet. The woman's force signature gave off a feeling of determination, and slow, simmering anger. It was what drove this woman.

Revan steeled her nerves and made her presence known by lifting up a large boulder with the force, and slamming it back down, the sound of fracturing stone making quite a scene. The large one gripped his hands into fists, the smaller one drew a small gun of some sort, and the woman seemed...overall unimpressed with the display.

"Can someone tell me what in the name of the force is going on?"
