Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
#4
This... was different and yet familiar. A few steps through the gate and the pearly white of the Nexus gave way to fire and brimstone, an ashy land of fire. The sky was blood red, dotted with black clouds. Whether or not they were smoke or natural formations she couldn't tell. A large mountain range loomed in the distance, dwarfing the Nexus. For one of Omni's many dollhouses this one probably was one created from his dark nature. Some believed in a place called Hell. If one were to journey to this place they might as well find it. Miranda doubted that any could find a life here, but it wouldn't surprise her if she did find settlements here. Despite her clear disgust for the place she stepped forward, walking the path until she came across the couple from earlier.

Both look as if they were dressed for Halloween, even if they could probably contend for the Best Costume award. They looked completely different and probably hailed from completely different planes of existence as well.  She chuckled to herself approaching the pair. One appeared to be having difficulties with the vehicle the red one had summoned. She couldn't remember how she knew, but she could recall that the Omniverse had static rules that differed depending on where you went. Unable to fly on artificial wings must be this verse's rule.

Before she could speak up, the tall blond, somewhat handsome man raised his orb of omnilinium to the sky, calling the dark clouds together. As if summoning the spears of some primordial god, a flash of light rained down from the heavens. Miranda rose an arm, shielding herself from the blinding flash that became of the useless show the man used to summon his own vehicle. When he was done the blinding light receded and the pounding thunder dissipated. In its place was a vehicle Miranda herself imagined piloting. The result however was the same. They had yet to try, but they really didn't need to for Miranda to know. She had already decided.

She approached the two primes, her arms crossed in pity. "You do know that won't work right? Where ever you need to go... you might need to go by land."
"I've been here before, used to this kind of war. Crossfire grind through the sand. The orders were easy: 'It's kill or be killed'. Blood on both sides will be spilled."
