Thor watched as his friend stumbled toward a bed and collapsed upon it. Thor laughed. The guard that had escorted them looked at Thor.
"Laugh while you can. The recruit, Alex. He went A-wall and stole a sword and some other gear from our armory. Watch out for him. We think he might try something again but you should be fine now that you switched rooms."
"Let him come." Thor dropped down on a bed of his own. "I will be waiting."
The guard shrugged, readjusted the strange looking sword on his hip, and shut the door. Thor could hear his steps trail away down the hallway. Would This really be enough to save them. Simply moving did not seem like it would be enough to quench the flames of Alex's determination. Thor stared at the door until his eyes grew too heavy to hold open. He fell into darkness full of worry.
Despite the ominous info they had received from the guard that night, the next couple of months of training went by without event. They were taught the use of standard weapons, like the sword and spear, which Thor needed to Red's help to remaster. They learned the way to wear and maintain armor; something that Thor, having worn armor all his life, was able to help Red-Hood with. The other five men grew to see the two primes as friends and leaders. Red and Gared found common ground in their love of invention and Thor found that Micheal and Grant were decent carousers when you filled them with enough ale.
The time flew by so quickly that Thor was surprised when he realized that there graduation day had come.
