She stopped and struggled to think rationally under the pressure. She could practically feel the stormtroopers at her back, ready to open fire.

The hunter swore under her breath.

“You need to turn yourself in,” she said, moving forward on the balls of her feet and lowering the barrel of her gun just slightly so that it was no longer pointing directly at the android’s head. “If you come with me, I might … I might be able to help you.”

She felt her face flush with anger. She hoped to hell she wouldn’t regret this.
