Vitruvius remained still, allowing her to come to him. He didn't want to portray his actions as deceitful or opportunistic so it was best to not move. With his hands raised, he consciously relaxed his posture, shoulders sloping in response, hips lowering, knees repositioning to unlocked state. It gave the appearance of loosening his tension. Hopefully she found it pleasing to whatever she used to analyze potential threats.

"My programming..." The voice changed, as it always did based on circumstance, to something softer. More innocent. Just a replication of what he understood to be helpless and in need. "Something took over my programming. I wasn't built for violence."

He didn't know how advanced her own programming was, but any machine could recognize when something is wrong with their functions or behaviors. It was as rudimentary as knowing your command prompts and recognizing that certain things did not belong. Regardless of who built her and brought her online, she should understand the plight he was in.

A quick reminder made him aware of the massive cannon on her arm.
