He glanced at his phone: no new posts in the Hecate-sama threads, two missed calls from his mother, and multiple texts asking to explain why he was back so late. That old woman didn't understand. So needy. He fired back a quick text of his own before heading through the Tangled Greens gate.
"Sorry, mum. I've got to do this. This is my calling in life.
