On one side of the fountain sat a stunning beauty with blonde hair. Demetri could not help but notice her exquisite attire, certainly a noblewoman. He raised an eyebrow and stepped forward. He steps lightly and curiously, his black leather boots softly rolling onto the white floor, leaving a speck of dirt with each fading footprint on the clean surface before it seems to mysteriously disappear. The Nexus was always able to keep itself clean, to wipe itself of its horrors and scars. Just like the preparation occurring on the other side of the fountain, oblivious to him and the girl that he locked eyes with, everything else soon blurred and faded into nothingness. Thoughts of John Connor and the other woman that he met filled up his mind. Hopefully, this feminine beauty would not blow up in his face like the last one.
"Creator? Your heart rate has increased and you are showing increasing levels of distraction and loss of focus, you alright? " The feminine program analyzed data and crunched numbers as Demetri replied.
"Nonsense."
"CREATOR! Are you infatuated with this woman?"
"That is a preposterous prediction and analysis IRIS, I am beginning to doubt your precision in strategy and intelligence gathering. "
A beep sounded in his head as if scolding him. Demetri frowned and ignored it, before checking out the gathering of primes across the way. Suddenly a bright burst of energy startled him, the red-faced sorcerer the cause as the thief witnessed a monstrosity from. He locked eyes with a shocked bystander, wearing blue and white robes, standing next to a purple armored woman. There was something.... familiar about him, some kind of unseen connection. no matter. Her must no involve himself in that matter, at any costs. He turned his focus away and found himself faced with a familiar face, bringing back further memories from the dunes.
Erik Vrell, the psychic that he had faced and fought alongside in Nippur, at least, they didn't seem on too bad of terms. He didn't seem to look too bad, but looking at his fresh appearance, he might have died recently and just respawned. Demetri pondered whether or not he should inquire about his recent adventures, but a sudden cough and sputter that entered his senses distracted him from the thoughts.
A wispy figure that resembled blue stained glass fell from the sky, a falling dragon as it twisted in the air, a dance of panic and dread as it plummeted to what it most likely assumed to be a dastardly fate. As Demetri looked up at the poor pitiful figure, he realized that the trajectory was heading right for the fountain, the splash zone being the entirety of the woman's body and then some. He quickly raised his hand as she also noticed the being falling above her, a tinge of dread that her outfit would be ruined, but not enough emotion to show too much care for it, perhaps even disinterest.
A chain shot out from Demetri's arm, wrapping around the woman's torso before locking into place and retracting back, plucking her from the fountains edge and pulling her into his arms as the splash of the fountain behind her sent a wave crashing down onto the floor, a small puddle forming and flowing dangerously close to them before seeming to seep into the floor, taken back by the Nexus.
Erik watched with a raised eyebrow at the thief's attempt to rescue the damsel, seeing the whole charade as hardly necessary. A roll of his eyes and a sigh showed his distaste for the current situation. Clearly he wasn't in the mood for this crap.
IRIS seemed flustered, beeping hard into his ear as she cried out. "Creatorrrr!"
The thief paid no mind as he held the blonde woman close with the arm that stole her from her passive existence, reading into her like as if an exhibit through glass. At this distance, though one could hardly call it that, no effort was needed as her abilities and powers were assessed and stored away in a distant file on IRIS's hard drive and Demetri's memory. His pale eyes shone for a moment and a wrinkle from on his cheek as he gave a smirk and lowered his suppressed presence and allowed her some telepathic communication.
Hello, and who is it that i am having the pleasure of meeting? He thought in his mind, hoping that she would steal a glance into it.
