[15:45:30] Sasuke: Is it cool for me to toss an ally an egg during the fight still or has that changed?
[15:46:12] Greghul D'Omni: I think it would be fair to toss an ally an artefact during a fight.

That seems totally fine to me, so long as there's no attempt at fuckery with the number of times they can bet used per combat.
