The short lived moment as I felt a big smile on my face when finally someone recognized me and my weapon left when the other side did the same. They fled to the four corners of the earth (and yes, I've always wanted to use that saying), or in this case the various gates of the nexus, and left me and the Ambrosians to rally at the fountain. Considering the flat plane of the hub world, I could have easily blown their brains out as they ran. But I had no intention to shoot retreating fighters in the back. The brace arms of the BFG clanked as it bent as I placed it where it belonged and the heavy cannon rested once more.

"We really need to stop meeting like this. People will start to think we're together or something" I joked to Guu as I started the tedious reload of the grapple gun. It was weird to see her actually have a visible human expression, since between the time we met at Dante's Abyss and from when I've seen her either on the internet or on a t-shirt had either than flat bored look or the obviously fake wide-eyed one. But that relieved smile blew away any doubts or complaints that hammered in my mind. This is why I help people.

"Sorry I'm late," I gave her my full attention once I was done with the reload, other than the glance as the others, "but serious, who the fuck did you piss off to get a kill team like that on your head?"
