Mega Man POV

I pushed open the door to the community center only to find nothing. No robots or people it was empty. I turned around hoping to catch the thief before he could leave but I was too late he was gone from sight. I walked out of the community center sat on the pavement and sighed. I had no contacts, home or family, just this Omnilium stuff. I began to way my options when I heard a scream. Looking around I saw no one respond. The only guy in uniform suddenly straightened and pretended he didn't notice. Not taking time to spare I dashed in the direction it was coming from to see a child standing over his mom, who's face was bloody and had a gunshot hole in her chest. I looked around and saw whoever did this was long gone. I didn't bother to berate myself for being too late because there were more important things at hand. I kneeled down at the woman and my scanners checked for signs of life. She was breathing sharply as if breath was a struggle. The child who couldn't have been more than 8 began crying while slapping the ground. Them most Dr. Light had equipped me with for medical situations was bandages, antiseptic and a mini fold out crutch since Dr. Wily never seemed fond of killing humans and specialized in property destruction. Suddenly the woman reached out and grabbed my arm and said in the most pained voice I ever heard "Take him!". The boy hearing his mother's voice grabbed her hand and cried saying, "Momma don't go!". Then he looked at me and said "Do Something!". Then it hit me, " The Omnilium". I quickly summoned some and began thinking of something useful. I heard the mother's breaths getting more strangled as the seconds ticked while my life scanners said she was on the verge of death. Suddenly she repeated her words "Take Him!" before breathing very sharply and the going slack. I dropped the half molded Omnilium in my hands as I realized I was too late. The boy started crying and then clinged to me. In just a few hours after coming to this strange world I had watched someone die.
