Gildarts calmly walked through the passing portals of the nexus. His magic hadn't had an outburst in what felt like a consistent twelve hours. To him, this simply meant the clock was counting down.
Tick tick. The wind blew. Suddenly the green was all around him. He didn't take to contemplating this, as all too frequently his surroundings would change in a blink of his she.
Suddenly his nose got stuffy, and his eyes grew red and puffy. He blinked more rapidly now, and felt the tickling sensation of the urge to sneeze. He had learned that holding this back made it only worse, so Gildarts chose a more desolate direction, and finally released a gust of wind that rippled about twenty feet forth, through the woods and cracking branches with a the gale of a great storm.
The forest rumbled, as though accepting am omen and hinting at fate.
"Bless you," Piqui squeaked.
"This always happens to me here," Gildarts sniffled a bit.
"That's because you have allergies silly." Piqui giggled a bit and batted his nose with her soft paw.
The calico's eyes were radiant and full of love, Gildarts couldn't help but to feel a little proud, though he was confused, "Allergies? Is that like kryptonite?"
"No silly, allergies are where you're allergic to pollen or something. Pollen is in the trees." It seemed a newborn kitten knew more about such things as 'pollen' than the forty year old prime did. Still, he was thankful for the information. It was helpful to know that his symptoms were not because he was dying, or worse, because of his body's magic imbalance.
It seemed while he was with the exceed, his violent condition had stabilized, or was under control, at least for now.
She was his good luck charm, and while neither of them spoke it, Piqui too had thought it best she never leave the strong prime's side. Meanwhile, through the parting of evergreen trees, the homey village of Ambrosia soon came into view.
