It had taken Amaterasu a fair amount of time, but after the encounter with the oni-like woman her mind had raced, and it had taken her a bit to recover. Only in retrospect did she realize that she had likely encountered and fought someone else, whom she had mistaken for the beast. And she felt real bad about that, she could have avoided a fight had she kept a clear head...
At least having run away from the stranger had gotten her out of the storm which she found to be occuring behind her. There also was crumbling landmass, but that was the least of her worries - she heard that it was distant, likely not close enough to endanger her. Or well, she hoped such. Her priority was to stay alive... hunt maybe, get her stomach filled again as it was growling, and take care of her injuries. She was hurting all over and looked anything but presentable with her torn and burnt clothes, her hurting arm and leg and her singed hair. At least the ear-ringing was mostly gone. Mostly.
As she gathered edible leaves, roots, berries, wild vegetables, anything that she could gnaw on to fill her belly, she heard a twig breaking near her, moments before the boy she had fought previously broke through the foliage and froze when he saw her. She could see the realization building in his eyes and knew that he would reach for his weapon the next second. Immediately she brought her hands up and yelled: "Friendly! Friendly!" That did startle the other one long enough that Amaterasu could take a breather, then speak. "I'm... ah. I'm really sorry for what happened earlier! I didn't mean to attack you, I... I was on the run from someone else, a crazed woman. She injured me and I was forced to make a run for it, but I panicked when I saw you. I thought she'd pursued me, and attacked... I hope you're alright? Not hurt too badly?"
The other person sighed and lowered his hands again from reaching to his weapon. "Lower your hands, I get it... I was startled when you rushed at me too. It happens."
Amaterasu nodded and sighed with relief. "I intend on staying near the temple for now. Warlock seems to be getting challenged as well, but... I would not be of much help, not in my half-dead state. But when the relics have been gathered I will aid the Hero Teucer in departing to the afterlife. The relics may be the anchors that are keeping his spirit, his ship, from sailing. But I wish to provide the wind once he is freed of the shackles to facilitate his departure. I don't want to fight anyone, or even win this... this contest. I just wish to make it out alive and to help everyone I can." As a token of peace she reached to the ground and scooped up the big leaf she had dropped. Luckily nothing had fallen out. "I was just gathering food when I ran into you. It's nothing fancy, but enough to fill your belly, if you want a bite. Oh and... I'm Amaterasu." She finished her little speech by introducing herself. It might have been more polite to state her name at the beginning, but the "not-getting-herself-killed" part had taken priority.
