A Dame to Kill For.
#3
"Law Zero Zero, you on?"

The man rose from his bed immediately, not even bothering to wipe the sleep from his eyes; he hadn't even been sleeping in the first place. Raising a finger to the earpiece that was never removed, the man grumbled into the dark air of his personall barracks room. 5:55 Coruscant time. Unsurprising. Crime never slept either.

"Active."

Dispatch took a moment to respond. Guess there was a lot on tonight's dance card. It had been a while since the last crackdown. It only made sense that the city's Prime element would start grab-assing for a sense of importance again. The man didn't even bother for them to begin talking before putting on the first of several layers of body armor.

"One bank robbery, single Prime suspect. Male, dark hair, apparent cybernetic augmentation. Locaton unknown, but presumed to have gone down on four."

A grunt. If dispatch hadn't been so cagey about calling him in, the perp wouldn't have made it that far. Better see what else was cooking.

"I'll get to him. Anything more immediate?"

"Affirmative. Got a Prime in a chicken mask who just stumbled the gate after mashing a trooper's face and firing on the rest of his squad. Last seen entering a cab on Central with another Prime was scanned."

"And who is the other one?"

"Unknown. Pretty sure they're both fountain-fresh. Some kinda bimbo clown if what I'm seeing from the cab cam is correct. No open hostilities as of yet."

"Yet." he said, moving over to his kitchenette. "Anything else?"

"Yeah, looks like some Prime in red armor and a black haired kid did a gun 'n run before killing some more boys in the Nexus. Last seen entering Camelot."

"Outside of my jurisdiction. Delta can get that one."

There was a pause. Clearly they had been hoping he would go after that case. Not a chance though; he wasn't trained for subtlety. There were better options.

"I'll take care of the couple in the cab and then look into the cyborg."

"Understood. Do you need time to eat?" Dispatch asked as they forwarded the cab's tracking information to his personal monitor. Even as they said this, however, the man was chugging down a bottle of raw bisquick and stuffing cold ham into his unshaved mouth. Once that was done, the man fit his helmet onto his dour features. Even in the unlit environs of the apartment, the large, red X on the front of the dome was clearly visible.

"Negative. Dredd moving out."

...

Twelve minutes and thirty eight seconds later, suspect vehicle in sight. Dredd flicked the sirens on the side of his personal EPD swoop and raisd the comm line up to his lips. As the red lights flashed into the darkness of the cab, Harley and Jacket flinched as the Judge's voice was sent booming straight into the cabin.

"Primes, this is the Judge. Suspect One; killing EPD personnel and evading capture. Sentence; death. Suspect two; possible collusion with a known criminal. Sentence; detention and questioning. Cab driver. Pull over the vehicle immediately."

"Well, that was fast!" Quinn quipped turning around and sticking her tongue out at the pig on the flying motorcycle. Meanwhile, the cab pilot started a vibrant string of curses.

"Ahhhgh shit-damn shoulda known fuckin' freaks gettin' here oughtta be a buncha ass-fuckin' Primes, I swears..." he said, his voice quaking considerably. Without even hesitating for a moment, the driver began to bring the flying car down to land on the bright stree-side below...
