It only took Arthuria a few minutes of medium paced walking to reach the tavern that she’d been told about. The town itself was currently buzzing with life, people heading to various directions on the streets, and stopping at merchant stalls and such distractions. Surprisingly enough - for the knight at least - her journey wasn’t disturbed with heckling or anything else either.
The tavern itself was one of the larger buildings she’d seen in the town during her short stay, and had some light shining through the windows. Through them Arthuria could see figures of people, as she took the few short steps up the stairs of the porch, and walked to the door. Turning the handle, she pulled the door open, stepping inside. So this was the tavern of Amlan. Its name resembling closely that of Camlann. There was a decent amount of life inside, and it was surprisingly clean too, compared to the taverns she’d witnessed in the past.
There were two things there, that she’d hoped she’d find on her visit. And they were seemingly both there. Firstly, the fact that it didn’t seem to be only a tavern judging from the amount of life buzzing there at this time of a day. It was likely also an Inn. She’d be able to stay here for now. Provided that she’d be able to find the money to do so. And that was where the second thing she’d hoped to find, came into the picture. A notifications board. Hopefully, she’d be able to work and gain enough money to be able to afford a room. Of course she could’ve just created the coins out of Omnilium, but that was not only dishonourable, but also simply cheating. She would work for her funds just like anyone else, and earn both her keep, and her living that way. Little did she know, that she was likely the only Prime who thought so.
After being immersed in her own thoughts for a slight while, the girl walked forth towards the counter, as well as the noticeboard. It was located next it, likely intended for easy access in the case that someone wished to take one of the many tasks listed upon it. Arthuria’s initial course of action was to review the different requests and listings on the board, and consider her options after knowing perhaps a bit more. Of course she also intended to discuss with the Tavern-Inn keeper, about possible options, and if he’d have any way for her to pay the room, in case she wouldn’t land anything else to sustain herself with.
As the knight finished her running trail of thought, she made her way forth towards the board. As she did so, quite a few heads turned to take in the sight. After all, despite the fact that Arthuria herself didn’t keep herself as either womanly nor beautiful, the reality of it was quite different. As she was walking, the woman expected that her usual insight, foresight even was still intact. A mistake, considering she had just shifted from one universe to another, where things had already gone into weird directions.. But nonetheless, the moment she realised such wasn’t the case, was when she felt something land on her behind.
THWAP. "Howw...about you take a sheat in my lap, missshy?" a deep, slurring tone suggested.
Instantly the girl acted, spinning around in an instant, her right hand striking the hand away from her, as she stared at the culprit with a murderous gaze. “Have you no honor?” the knight inquired with a stern tone, as the clearly drunk man shifted in his seat, slurring to the men gathered around the table as much as he did to her.
“Lllookk boyss… The bitchh.. hic.. Is schtuck upp..”
Outrageous. His behaviour was simply outrageous. Yet she knew that if she’d start trouble now, her chances of finding work would slim considerably. So she simply had to keep it cool, there wasn’t any other option available. “You should not drink more today, Sir.” she simply stated in a calm and emotionless tone, before she turned around and continued along. Yet even as she was walking away, she could hear the men ridiculing her. And she realized that her clothing didn’t exactly fit here either. She’d have to do something about that, soon enough.
Moments later, she reached her destination; the noticeboard. It was time to investigate...
