My DnD Homebrew Race!

For a balanced player race you'd probably need to provide two +2 to a mental, +2 to a physical and a single -2 to ability scores as your Ability Score Modifiers. That's the system paradigm. for 3.5/PF but you can do some wonkier ones (+4 to any, -2 to mental, -2 to physical is an example other one). Humans have a variable +2 with no drawbacks and, while you can do that, it doesn't seem super relevant to this race.

Also, a +1 to a skill is effectively useless. If you are going to give a skill bonus do it in increments of +2. Or you can even say "+2 and they always treat it as a class skill, regardless of class" (then it's easier to gain that without providing a huge bonus off the bat).

People have given you good feedback on the rage thing. Honestly, look at like the frenzy universal monster rule and you'd probably get a good idea how the system treats that kind of thing. Also, it's a little odd to give a racial feature that progresses based on level. Normally, within the established system norms, you'd put that sort of thing into a chain of racial feats or even just a progressing feat (like they did with power attack which is based on BAB progression milestones).

Cold-acclimated: At the moment this doesn't have mechanical implications (or at least are not correctly implemented). I'd do something like "+4 bonus on all saves against fatigue or exhaustion due to cold temperatures and a +2 bonus on saves against spells with the cold descriptor or that deal cold damage." You could also give them Resistance (cold) 5 and that would cover it.

Sorry. D&D nerd here.

This is all very useful information, don't get me wrong. If this was built for 3.5 everything you've said would be very good to take into account. But, it was built for 5e. Which makes it....less applicable. :psy:

Ahh, it wasn't specified (or I totally missed it).

Then I'd recommend splitting it into a subrace or two so you don't have the +2 and +1 in the same entry and it provides some verity (though there is precedent with like half elf not having subraces).
