The Camelot gate didn't react as negatively to Koal as the other gates he had come into contact with. This one almost seemed welcoming, it didn't leave Koal with as sense of foreboding and danger as the rest of them had all the other times. He felt warm and his pain washed away as he passed through the doorway. Thor and Red were talking, but Koal was too far away to make out what they were saying. He staggered onto the soft green grass that populated the field. His blood dripped onto the green pigment, staining them a dark red.
"Guys-" His speech was cut off by a violent bout of coughing, more red liquid staining the grass, "I-I...need some help get-getting up" But the two figures didn't hear him. They were too involved in their survey of the area to notice Koal's pleas for help.
"You seem to attract the worst kinds of danger." A feminine voice sounded next to Koal's ear, startling the young adult. His violet eyes cut to the side and beheld the figure next to him.
Leah, his protector, was kneeling next to him, her dark hair pulled back into a ponytail, and her black wings folded neatly on her back. A sly smile was plastered on her face as the angel beheld Koal. "You need to find somewhere safe, and stay there, you idiot." Despite her words, Koal could read Leah like an open book, her eyes were soft as she regarded him, and her posture was tense as if she had been worrying. Leah stood up and offered her hand to her ward, which Koal gratefully accepted.
"I would somehow find a way to get hurt there, too." Koal whispered back, just loud enough for Leah to hear. Her golden eyes narrowed as she slung on of his arms over her shoulder, as to help him walk to his two companions. Koal tried to stop her, but Leah would not be denied this opportunity to take her anger out on these people. "Hey, asshats! Need a little help here, this idiot weighs a ton!" Koal raised an eyebrow and scowled at these words. He wasn't THAT heavy, was he? The dark haired youth shook his head, focusing his thoughts on the task at hand.
"You guys know where we're going?"
