The Tower was truly a sight to behold. Masterfully built, it seemed to exude a sort of strength and power. It reminded Malthael of the structures built y the Nephalem on Sanctuary. Ancient was also a word that came to mind when studying the tower. If one looked closely, they could see the ancient magic woven into the stones that were the exterior. It was a marvel of architecture, and Malthael resolved to study it closer when he had the time.
But he needed time to recuperate, his wounds had stopped bleeding but were not healing as fast as he would have preferred. The Angel of Death felt weak but still carried on walking up to the entrance to the tower, determined to gain asylum.
The door was very thick, and Malthael was sure it was heavily enchanted as to protect against those who would try and force their way in. Through small windows in the tower, The Angel saw the flickering tale-tell of torches. People obviously lived here, but he was not sure they would grant him the protection he sought.
Malthael had no other choice. The Aspect of Death fell to a knee and projected his voice. "Occupants of this tower, I am Malthael, otherwise known as Death. I wish no harm to you or your fellow mortals... I am injured and in need of shelter from the dark taint of this world. I implore you to open your gates." the empty hollow sound of his voice echoed off the dark stone, and in turn, Malthael could hear faint movement in the tower.
Malthael bowed his head and awaited their verdict...

"...If the soul is left in darkness sins will be committed. The guilty one is not he who commits the sin, but he who causes the darkness.”
