Koal smirked as he picked up the various conversations going about the room, kids talking about cliche things, or games they had played, or even the occasional confrontation. This was Koal's favorite thing to do with his time. He was a listener, it was what he did, he listened to things. Growing up like he did, you had to be.
He cracked open his eye, the purple iris flitting around the small confines of the bus. Mr. Crow was still insane, Adam and some girl were chatting, the fuckboy captain of the football team was threatening him.... "God I hate school, too many hormonal teenagers who think they're better than everyone else." His voice was low and quiet, easily drowned out by the noise of the rest of the bus. Getting fed up, Koal looked for another spot on the bus to sit...Most of the middle of the bus seemed occupied, but the back wasn't that bad.
Koal grabbed his backpack, slinging it over his right shoulder and stalked to the back of the bus, his feet shifting to compensate for the reckless driving of the pilot. As he passed Grundy, Koal couldn't help himself, " I'd like to see you try." Aaaannd Koal knew he was going to regret that later, but he didn't care. His mouth got him in and out of trouble on a regular basis, this was a fact of his life.
He made it to the back without too much trouble, having to weave around a few standing kids, and sitting in the back corner, closing his eyes, and listening...
