Well that was easier than I imagined it would be.
He pondered over the undead teenager's ultimatum for a little while, holding onto a nearby seat for balance with his left hand, while holding the money with his right. Dan would've probably wanted him to just give him back the money. Not worth getting beaten up on the first day of school
But Dan also hadn't fought anyone before in his life. Ballad had won and lost his fair share of battles though he never admitted he ever truly "lost" a battle. A few of them had been big, sweaty guys that spoke slowly and never with any sophistication. They were typically the fiercest... and the easiest to fight.
He would accept this guy's challenge. Better yet, just to spite him, he'll get the drop on him when he least expects it.
Smiling, he turned around, sarcastically saying "Thanks for the cash, you oversized chemical product," before walking back to his aisle.
As he sat down next to Dan, he elbowed him in the side, nearly shouting "Are you fucking crazy?!" at the top of his lung.
"Chill out, my friend. My brain's already cooking up a plan for how to deal with that schmoe." He replied, putting a calming hand on his friend's shoulder, "and once we do, you can bet your ass that school won't be a problem for either of us. We won't have to steal anyone's lunch money, for one thing."
The duo chuckled, occasionally making glances towards some of the other individuals seated with them near the back.
