"well, this is a new way to vent people's frustrations."
The skeleton chuckled as he slid his left hand forward, dragging himself through the ventilation shaft. The scientist had led him to a rectangular shaft next to an orange door, telling him that it would take him directly to any floor in the building. He had thanked him rather swiftly, as he was too busy at that moment tearing off the cover with a bit of telekinesis. After tossing the worn ventilation shaft cover off of the shaft, he had wasted little time trying to climb inside. Before he could, however, the man had grabbed a hold of the hood of his jacket. When he turned to look at him, he saw that he held a black walkie-talkie in his hands. He explained he wanted him to take it for communication's sake. The monster didn't object. He was too focused on getting down there to deal with the green soldier guy.
The vent was pitch-dark, almost impossible to see. Without a flashlight, the skeleton had resorted to feeling his hands around every nook and cranny of the insanely small, metallic duct to find holes he could pass through. More than once, he had knocked his cranium against the top and the sides of the vent, causing him to groan as a ker-chlunk sound reverberated all around him, rattling him to the core. It was hot and steamy in there as well, with a copious amount of sweat forming on his head that quickly spread to his arms and parts of his pants. He occasionally heard the sound of a rumbling fan, followed by him seeing a small shadow of the blades within glowing light. Each sight and sound made him shiver, imagining one of them as a gunshot or a body.
Eventually, he didn't have to imagine those noises. He held onto the edge of a ledge within the vent, looking down towards several beams of light shining through a cover. Although he was not close enough to see what was going on, he could hear explosions, two to be precise, followed by what sounded like a whirring noise robots made.
Whatever it was, it was probably not good for anyone involved.
Sans loosened his grip on the edge, allowing himself to fall, descending towards the shaft cover. He landed on his feet, making a mental note to thank the architects of the building for making a corridor he could walk through. He quickly ran towards the cover, leaning forward to take a peek through the tiny square holes.
Before he could even get a proper look, however, he heard the sound of bullets ricocheting off of armor, and before he could even process what just happened, a bullet connected with the edge of the cover, partially removing it. On pure impulse, the stout skeleton reached out towards the hanging cover, yelling in shock as he fell forward through the hole. He did a front flip through his open arms as he felt his bony fingers grasp the corners of the hanging ventilation cover, stopping his fall.
Sans looked down towards the ground, realizing he was suspended more than a few feet above the ground. Bullets continued to slam into various parts of the room, which the skeleton assumed was a party room due to all of the beer bottles and furniture. He panted rapidly, flinching each time a bullet got close to him or the vent cover he was holding onto for dear life.
It didn't require the skeleton much time to figure out who was firing what at whom. His pin-prick glowing eyes glanced towards the green-armored super soldier, firing his massive minigun at the steel-plated, gigantic, monstrosity of a man closing in on him. The bullets only hindered the space marine, with the vast majority of them glancing off of his armor and sending the projectiles somewhere else. One managed to slam into the grate the security guard was holding; he yelped as his hands slipped off of the grate, plummeting down towards the battle below.
The gigantic space marine charged forward, baring the full brunt of the relentless onslaught of bullets as the others took cover. He reached down towards his chainsword, pressing the trigger, revving it up in preparation to swing.
Just as he got close enough, however, the stout skeleton landed right on top of him, blocking his vision and stopping his charge. The minigun stopped firing, and the soldier and the skeleton locked eyes for a few seconds with the only sound being the machinery within his sword.
"uh...hi?" He squeaked before a large, beefy hand grabbed him by the torso and tossed him behind the space marine. He sailed past a red-hooded woman and a man with a hammer, letting out a pained groan as he landed on top of a pool table, sliding across it all the way to the end of it.

The Doomguy had to use care to prevent himself from laughing at the unexpected event that had taken place in front of him. The only things that kept him from doing that were mostly strategic, partly ethical. The first was that he had to exercise caution, despite his incredibly itchy trigger finger. The second was that he knew from personal experience that he had an opportunity on his hands. One where he could do some extreme damage.
As soon as his weapon stopped firing, he slung it over his right shoulder. Just as soon as the skeleton had started flying through the air with the assistance of his opponent, he had whipped out his chainsaw and was cranking the starter rope with a single hand.
Death rumbled in his hands as the musical sound of an engine roaring to life brought him joy as he raised it upwards in time to catch the assailant's sword mid-strike. Sparks flew as the blades connected, the two pushing against each other. The green-armored soldier gritted his teeth, veins popping from his arms as he shouted a rapid-fire of curses at the bigger space marine. Tartaros responded with a diagonal cut downwards, knocking the super soldier back.
His chainsaw sliced into the ground as he looked up, seeing a flash of red before a gash appeared on his arm. He instinctively raised his weapon up, parrying another strike. In the heat of the moment, he rammed his chainsaw down, nearly cutting the young scythe-wielder in half. He maintained his onslaught, the woman backing up towards the edge of a bar as she twirled her scythe in circles, sparks flying as his chainsaw brushed the hilt of her melee weapon.
Taggart let out a roar as the woman feebly pushed him back, lifting his chainsaw and slamming it down onto the hilt of her scythe. The red-hooded girl held her weapon upwards, buckling underneath the weight of the chainsaw. He pressed his assault, getting close to her head as he saw the hammer man rushing towards him from his right. He hopped backwards, feeling the ground shake as the hammerhead crushed the spot where he once stood. He charged forward, crashing into the boy and sending both him and the girl over the bar. Without a moment to spare, he whirled around, chainsaw cutting through the air before grazing the waist of the other marine. The tin man uttered a mild grunt of pain as he swung his chainsword downwards, the Doomguy expertly dodging. He dropped his chainsaw before whipping out his double-barreled shotgun, shoving it into his attacker's back and firing.
The behemoth launched forward, blood gushing out of his back.
He got the impression that the battle was his. He picked up his chainsaw, clipping it to his belt before walking towards the stairs, only to meet a barrier of bones.
"friend... please... don't.." A familiar voice begged behind him.
He turned around, seeing the skeleton with his hand outstretched on the pool table. It was the security guard.
"Sorry, Sans, but I ain't letting what happened happen again."
It closed its eyes. "Neither am I..." It replied, its eye sockets blackened.
He felt something hit him in the head before a blue aura surrounded him.
