Gero nodded his head as he mulled through Genjuro’s remarks. The lead scientist enjoyed the other man’s input far more than most of his peers. Gero came from a world where normal humans could train themselves to wield great power, but that might was still rooted in physics and the laws of the physical world. Channeling ki into techniques like flight and energy blasts might appear to be the work of magic, but the reality that Gero had learned was that it all came down a manipulation of science.

Genjuro, however, came from a world bristling with ‘magic.’ The scientist had studied demons and devils and all sorts of supernatural beasts that would have resulted in the public ridicule of someone from Gero’s home universe. Had the lead scientist gone to Commander Red with his plans to research ‘magic’ or ‘demon flesh,’ the Red Ribbon Army leader would have put a bullet through his skull.

Fortunately, this was the Omniverse, which meant that there was little in the way of boundaries or impossibilities. Who is to say that some sort of magical battery wouldn’t improve the ease of donning the armor? Certainly anything that allowed the project to be mass-produced would please Bradley and Palpatine, which would mean more resources and funding for Gero’s more enjoyable projects.

As Dr. Gero stared at the handful of prototypes, he realized he’d lose very little in experimenting with some of his peer’s area of expertise. After all, it wouldn’t be too hard to come by some ‘magic’ in the Omniverse.

“Might be an interesting idea,” Gero muttered as he pulled up the schematics and started to create possibilities in his head even as other thoughts ran through his cramped but efficient brain space. “Where would we get more resources?” Like Genjuro, the lead scientist understood that it was preferable to locate the actual resource, rather than attempt to create such a complex item from scratch. The majority of Gero’s constructions and the organisms sacrificed in their design had been ‘authentic.’
