"Our fighting may attract others, we shouldn't stay here."

Amaterasu’s calm voice suggested, helping to ease Somerled’s temper somewhat. The monster silently cursed his rash behaviour again. A simple brawl wouldn’t have attracted attention, they would have remained as unnoticed as ever. However, a giant blast of solar heat and light? People are gonna notice a second sun, even if it lasts for only a second.
“Let’s get moving then,” he said, turning away from the bodies and taking a step

“Wait,” the sun goddess said, a plea that, to the ears of the outranked monster, sounded more like an order. He stopped in his tracks immediately, already knowing what she was going to say. She wouldn’t be able to just leave the dying humans here. If they were slipping away anyway, it seemed entirely pointless to do anything but let them fester and die. Alas, he couldn’t go against the great kami.

“Okay!” Somerled responded in a somewhat nice voice, his normal mastery of body language slipping in his frustration. Carefully, he bent over and picked up the body of the unconscious human, applying a delicacy he usually never used in order to avoid drawing the ire of Amaterasu.

Now with no choice but to have the human so close to him, that burnt smell filled his nostrils, hungering him, tempting him. “Lead the way,” he said, voice wavering. He hoped he had the will in him.
