Hammer and Nail in the coffin
#1
The glistening monument of Asgard rose up in front of Thor. It was good to be home. Thor had only ever cared about two things; protecting his friends and swinging his hammer. He walked toward the shining castle of his father. Mist rolled in around the Thunder God. Where was he? Looking at the shifting emptiness around him Thor cringed. He had been banished to Hel. Apparently he could not ascend to Valhalla for fighting a storm. He had to admit though, that was pretty pathetic. The god of thunder lost his life to a thunder storm. Thor looked around and saw something off in the distance of the swirling nothingness. He went toward it. As he got closer he began to hear a banging noise and he could see a figure bent over something hitting nails into it with a hammer that looked very similar to his. He looked at his hands. What had happened to his hammer? Then he was holding Mjolnir. The figure looked up at Thor as he drew close enough to see what was going on more clearly. It was Loki sitting on a stool. The object he had been hammering nails into was a coffin, and at the head of the coffin instead of a cross was a carving of a hammer. Loki looked down at the hammer.
"You never did want to share this thing." Loki said.
"It's mine, brother." Thor said.
"How am I going to finish nailing your coffin shut?" Loki said
"My coffin?" Thor said. The mist around them cleared to reveal a graveyard.
"Your dead, brother."  Loki looked up at him.
"You are dumb sometimes, my brother." Thor smiled. "We do not bury our dead. We burn them," the coffin caught fire, "at sea." A beach appeared conveniently close enough that the coffin was already half in the water. Thor kicked it out into the open water and watched it float away until the flames caused it to fall beneath the waves.
Thor looked at his brother. "Are you dead?"
Loki smiled at his brother. "You watched me die."
Thor looked back at the water and watched the setting sun descend upon its shimmering surface.
