Day 2 Morning

[Erik Vrell]

Erik was outright depressed as he looked at his cracked leg. Not only did it hurt like hell, but what use would he be like this? He was nothing but a liability. After moping for a short while, Erik realised that he hadn't eaten since he had arrived in the island. There was no way that he could hunt an animal in this state, but at least berries wouldn't run from him. After fashioning a temporary crutch made of twigs, Erik hobbled over to some nearby bushes. He found a small amount of berries which he quickly gathered together. There was only a dozen or so berries, but it would suffice. Erik downed then all in one mouthful, thankful to have something in his stomach. Erik turned to address the relative newcomer.


"Forgive me, I haven't introduced myself yet." Erik said. Even with a broken leg he was still one for formal greetings. "I am Erik. Pleased to meet you." The psychic held out his hand for the teenager, who shook it weakly. Erik could tell that although the boy was still healthier than him, he was far from full strength. The boy introduced himself as Yuki.
"Well Yuki, and you too Link." Erik began. "I'm obviously not going to last much longer in this state. But, if I should die, I want you to remember our time here, so that if we meet again we may look back on it as friends." The psychic sighed. "Until then, I wish you luck in your endeavours. If you're wondering why I'm telling you this now, it's because, should I call in the midst of battle, I'll undoubtedly be silenced before I can say anything." Erik rose up to his foot, supported by his crutch.
"And Link." Erik said, looking his friend in the eye. "You'd better win this." Erik grinned.
