After splitting with her invisible foxy friend, Malon found herself in what looked to be an open room where most of the captives were held. There was no door for this room, but only one entrance which was also the exit. Loose patches of hay covered the ground, probably acting as beds for the prisoners. Many could be seen sleeping on the hay, others were sitting on the ground, which Malon had just seen their legs strapped down by a metal lock on the floor.
The ex-Hyrulian citizen was too latched to the ground with a leg chain, the next closest one occupying her was empty. Perhaps being an open spot for their next victim, or someone was busy doing work. Malon’s captor grinned down upon her after locking her in and turned to leave. Surveying the room, she could see that not everyone lying down was merely sleeping, many seemed to be curled in the fetal position cringing from wounds, or simple unable to stand from starvation. No one talked, it was dead silent.
An hour of silence, beyond the begging groans of starved captives, a girl was brought into the room led in by one of the bandits. Her dark brown hair covered most of her face. The young woman was probably the youngest of the adults in the room, barely peeking into her twenties. Her leg was chained down in the empty spot next to Malon, separated by about five feet of space. If they both were to reach for each other, they could probably grasp each other’s hands if they wished. After being locked in, her perpetrator left her to herself. She instantly dropped the broom next to her and laid down on the floor, facing Malon. Her eyes trailed tiredly up to Malon, who seemed to be observing her for some reason. Oh, right, she looked new. Well, now, at least she wasn't the newest of the captives. It was obvious to the newcomer that this girl wasn't from Camelot, her attire suggested as much easily.
“Pss.” Malon’s signaled the tired female who’s eyes slowly opened back up. “Are you alright?” The dark haired woman propped up on her knees slowly. Her once-white jacket scuffed from dirt and dust.
“For future reference,” her hushed voice barely reached Malon’s ears. “I’d leave most people alone. It only causes problems.” The newbie wasn't sure how to respond. Should she? The girl across from her seemed like she was waiting for a response, or else she'd have already slumped over again.
“I- uh..” Malon quieted down, looking around for any guards. Once she saw the coast was clear, she turned back to the young lady. “What is your name?”
“Sera Toel. I'm from Coruscant.” Malon really had to focus on listening. Sera’s timid voice just barely blew past her ears, she speaked so softly. “They caught me trying to visit family here in the Kingdom…”
“That’s horrible.” Malon responded. “I'm Malon, it's nice to meet you.” Her greeting was met with a hushed silence and subtle nod. They quieted down for a moment as someone came into retrieve a few of the prisoners and take them back up to the living quarters.
“Be careful when talking, they'll think we're planning an escape if anyone is talking. I've only been here about a week and I've seen more people suffer and die than I ever wished to in my whole life.” Sera said, watchin. The entrance of the room for anymore guards. “I recommend you don't make anymore friends in here.” It was at this moment Malon thought about mentioning her invisible ally, but she decided against it. Sera would probably displace her statement as a rambling hope and think her crazy.
With their conversation seemingly finished, the young girl slumps back over, actually quite roughly. It was like she had passed out sitting up and just collapsed into the dirt. It was quiet again, for now at least.
