Axorn stepped out of the swirling vortex and one strange feeling shifted to another, one that he had not felt for a long time. Cold. Axorn stepped through and instantly shivered a bit as he adjusted his internal flame's temperature to counteract the freezing winds and light snow that fell from the sky. The draconian, now warm, and radiating enough heat that the ground within his close proximity was melting, looked around at the landscape before him.
There were many large, snow-covered mountains, that looked like giant icicles sticking out of the snow and frost covered landscape. Off in the distance, the hybrid could barely make out the large tower rising up from the base of one of the mountains, which looked like a large, white lollipop balancing precariously on a bed of spikes. The draconian was intrigued at the sight of the building that seemed very much out of place given the surroundings.
The royal dragon hybrid ran up next to the dog-eared girl whom he'd yet had a chance to talk to. She was standing at the edge of some choppy, freezing water with a number of icy platforms floating on the surface. On the other side was the large tower the draconian had been wondering about since he first saw it.
"So," Axorn began, gazing in awe at the frozen area around them. "I didn't get to talk with you earlier, and as such I still don't even know your name. The draconian laughed. "I'm Axorn, king of the draconians from the planet of Tranquility." Axorn extended his scaled hand in a gesture of friendship, his warmth reaching the young girl a few paces away. "And you a--"
Axorn was suddenly interrupted by the thin layer of ice underneath his feet melting, causing a pillar of steam to rise as he dropped like a rock into the freezing cold water. The draconian, startled quickly regained focus and darted towards the surface, reducing his inner fire's temperature so that he didn't have to deal with steam when he got to the surface. He popped his head out of the small hole he had accidentally created and smiled, before bursting into laughter.
He hopped back onto the frozen ground, this time making sure he wasn't going to fall through. and walked up to the giggling young girl.
He extended his hand once more, smiling. "So, how about we try that again."
