An encounter with some punk kid and a small stock of leathery rations were all well and good to some, but the devil hunter hadn't just participated to to get a few questionable child abuse charges. No, the undying ghost of the long-dead hero wanted him to find some magic relics - and the power-filled sensation running laps up and down his spine probably served as a tip-off to one nearby. So, it would've been fair for Dante to assume that there might have been something more worth discovering within the ancient stadium he found himself in, right?
Yet, after searching the whole ruin top to bottom, in and out of the arena, there remained nothing more. No supplies, no monsters, no weapons- only dust, stones, cracked pottery, and a brand-new crappy outlook on this experience so far. Not even some sort of secret dungeon that would house a tempting complex of evil beasts. Just downright disappointing, unsatisfactory, and overall a waste of time and effort for trying.
Worse yet, Dante had a feeling those nagging waves of magic energy were aggravating the Hollow. If a potential relic did happen to be within the city limits, then he either wanted to stay away from it or get the thing under his control as soon as possible.
Whatever the case, the Coliseum ultimately had no point right now. Leaving the primordial stadium from one of the cardinal archways, Dante noted the faltering levels of light- had it gotten that late already? He traced his vision across the evening sky, the first stars already dotting up in the void to the east, until his eyes caught the opposite horizon where the day star was falling away. Staring at the untainted sunset, cardboard box slung over his shoulder yet again, the champion began to rack together what else he could get done with the remaining measures of light-
The tiniest of seismic shakes penetrated Dante's figure, and suddenly, a large segment of the westernmost lands began to literally tear itself from its foundation. Meteor-sized chunks of earth joined serpentine streams of water as they all loosed from the world and floated away into the oblivion above.
If Teucer's words to accompany this were any indication, then someone had found a Relic already. Then not only was this anomaly normal, they could expect it to happen about five more times before this whole ordeal would end. How fun, Dante grimaced, only giving the sight a few more moments of his attention before slipping away from the precipice of the Coliseum. Not even a whole day had gone by yet, and the whole island was already starting to give way to the champions' efforts.
The irony? This was all still slower-paced than what Dante usually dealt with before.
