Her keen eyes kept track of every minute movement that this new man made, constantly checking him and her surroundings to make certain that she could be prepared for any sudden movements. As she crossed her legs, she noticed the thief take a few slow steps towards her. She immediately registered that he was curious about her. Most people where curious of her, naturally. She was of course a god before she was pulled into this new landscape, recognizing her as one was one of the few rights that humans had back in her original homeland. She of course liked to be seen in a light of awe and curiosity, almost as much as she loved to be seen in a light of terror and fear.
As the man stepped closer to her, she made a bit of an effort to hear any sounds he put off. After a brief moment she heard what sounded like a high-pitched whirling feminine voice, "Creator? Your heart rate has increased and you are showing increasing levels of distraction and loss of focus, you alright?"
Was that noise coming from him, or his armor? She glanced over him once more, taking in how his armor had intricate circuitry running along it's surface, obviously something of mechanical origin that she had yet to experience in this lifetime. In lives past, yes, she could remember seeing armor akin to this, a sort of body suit meant to bio-mechanically enhance the wearer's abilities and mobility. She wondered if there was other, even more advanced technology in this place, maybe even knowledge and technology that she had never encountered, or could ever hope to encounter back in her universe.
Taking a short moment to ponder the man's armor, she then wondered if the suit had an AI installed into it as well. It was something she would have to ask about if she got the chance. Aside from his armor, the assumed AI's response was quiet amusing to her, though she showed no external expression of this. Was this man getting so distracted and loosing so much focus over just her? Oh she was just so flattered, in fact, she had to fight to hold an even bigger smile back, a fight she won with a small amount of effort. Then she heard the man's reply.
"Nonsense."
Then came the AI's response, an annoyed and flustered cry, calling to her creator and asking him if he was in fact infatuated by her beautiful form and lovely smile. In a sort of scoffing tone, the man rebuked the AI's question and called to concern it's own abilities of strategy and information gathering. Ezzy heard a few buzzes and beeps, as if the AI were saying something under its breath at the remark and situation at present. She would have casually blinked, had she not felt a ripple of energy surge through the air.
For a moment, it was almost suffocating, like static in the calm air before a great storm. Giving a glance over to her right, she noticed a new figure had shown, a large monstrous form with a red face. Not caring to get involved in whatever drama was about to go down, she quickly averted her gaze and brought it back to the mysterious suited man in black. She could now note that a new young looking man stood at his side, with brown shaggy looking hair and a missing eye, his remaining one was a cute blue color.
And yet any symbalence of intrigue she had for this new man was shorn away quickly when he stepped up to the thief and completely interrupted him with no regards for what he might have been doing or where he might have been going. That was quite ill-mannered and offensive in the world where she came from, and she would have not taken so lightly to such a thing normally, but this land was alien and different to her, everything and everyone around her seemed quite strange and peculiar. She was wise enough to not take her chances with this newest brown haired man.
Listening in she heard the man address the thief as such, then apologize for the offense before gracelessly barreling forward, stating his boredom before asking what the thief was doing. Within the very same breath, no the same sentence, before even knowing what the thief was doing, had planned or how they felt, asked if he could go ahead an tag along. This new comer was albeit forceful in his tactless efforts to socialize and be apart of something. He was extremely blunt and verged upon being rude with how he almost seemed to bully his way into things.
She could tell now that she might not like this brown haired man, but this was something she wouldn't think about for now. For now she would give him plenty of chances to show that he wasn't some bumble minded social brute.
Her attention was called away from her thought pattern as she heard a loud sputter and mechanical cough. Looking up, she saw a nine foot long snake like transparent creature with some sort of mechanical propulsion device strapped to it's back crash into the upper limits of the fountain area. She watched black smoke billowed from the fly device as this creature fell down and down, certainly to land in the fountain behind her. She instantly knew what it would mean. Her entire outfit, including her boots and most adorable little hat would be ruined by water, exposing her to the rather tame but not private elements of the Nexus. Her lovely hair would be matted down by the splash of water and she would spend some amount of time trying to dry her long and thick wavy hair. The thought of this all almost made her stomach sink, as if she'd swallowed an entire bag of rocks. It really wasn't that big of a deal to her if she were being completely honest. It was simply more of an inconvenience to her, though she didn't really want to show her body off that much to every single prime within the area.
With a slight sigh of borderline disinterest, she uncrossed her legs, about to stand when she saw the black garbed man shoot a chain out to her. Whether it was do to sheer surprise or maybe just him moving faster than her, she didn't deflect the chain, in fact she didn't have a chance to deflect it as it wound around her petite waist. Maybe she had been correct just a few startling moments prior, maybe she did enjoy being the damsel in distress much to often. Perhaps it was even why she allowed the chains to take her without a fight. It was true that she didn't want to get soaked to the bone by some falling glass serpent, and the chain had pulled her right up close against the thief's left side, quickly being replaced by his around her as the large splash of water fell a few feet in front of them.
She watched with detached curiosity as the water was reabsorbed into the white ground. It seemed that nothing would stay for long on these grounds.
When she had been pulled to the mysterious man, she had planted her right foot on the ground, the toe of her left boot barely touching the ground, which caused her to quickly place her left hand on his chest in order to keep her balance. With her hand on his chest and arguably most of her form, she could feel his breathing and his quickening heartbeat. Looking up at him from under his hood, she saw his pale eyes and watched his mouth form into a grin. She blinked twice, wide-eyed, before speaking.
"Oh, what a kind young gentleman you are! Saving me from having my clothes and my dignity ruined in front of all of these people." A breathless warmth flowed from her, a promise that there was no one else in the world she so wanted to see, her voice like that of honey or even one could say money. "Would you care to grace me with your name so that I may call you by what is right?"
She could hear the AI cry out again now that she was even closer, a whirl and buzz in strong protest that this man ignored. "Do tell me, how could I ever hope to repay you for your noble act of kindness of chivalry?"
She reached a slender hand up and brushed his right cheek. "Tell me, is it a kiss upon thy cheek that you'll ask for," she leaned in a bit closer and, feeling him truly for the first time, whispered into his mind, "or a dance with me in the rain? To sing you a somber love sonnet, or to whisper it in your ear? Will you bring me far or near, just to hear my spirit's song?"
As she spoke to him within his own mind, he would be able to hear the soft sweet melody of her mind. She touched his thoughts and whispered, like quiet shy birdsong captured by the breeze, or even the warmth of a tavern fire surrounded by friends, a feeling of sweet nostalgia from something missed and bygone. Her mind was the sound of gentle rain falling through the forest leaves, that of the soothing oceans and seas, it carried experience and profound time with it, like an old story that has been passed on. Like a lover's smile, it was something that could leave you wanting and yearning for more, never to be forgotten in some old dusty store.
Looking up at him, she smiled once more. She could feel how intrigued that she made him, and how captivated he was with her. "My name is Ezzy, my grandest of Sirs."
Though all of this talk would conspire in mere seconds, she knew with no doubt that either the young brown haired man or the AI would object in some way, in fact it would be a great surprise to her to not hear them speak against this brief moment.
