So he’s one of those types, huh? The sudden appearance of the invisible man had been worrying enough. Not many people mastered, or even attempted to master invisibility. The ones that did, usually weren’t pleasant individuals. One could say she wasn’t exactly a fan of them. Of course, her dislike paled in comparison to the raw hatred coming off of the priest. Truly, he was a man of god. Convert the nonbelievers, purge the sinners, all that fun stuff.
Chronoire took an unconscious step back, smile falling off her face as she vaguely wondered if she should try and keep her familiar out of sight. Familiars tended to be a telltale sign that witchcraft was being practiced. She spared a quick glance towards Sebas, off to her side. The lumbering croc stood stoically, observing the proceedings with a blank expression. There wasn’t really anywhere she could hide him, though. It wasn’t like he could just duck behind her. Sorry, you’re on your own, Sebas.
Turning back to the duo, the witch tensed up as she noticed a third person now between the two. Moon had, bravely and idiotically, thrown herself into the middle to try and defuse the situation. Right in between a crazed, knife-wielding catholic and his target, a place you really didn’t want to be. She threw a glance towards Usopp, who was watching the events with a look of horror on his face.
“Hey!” Ready to intervene, Chronoire tried to grab his attention with a stage whisper. She’d need backup if she didn’t want a religious fanatic on her ass. The boy, incredibly on edge, jumped at her sudden interjection, quickly turning to face her. “We don’t need anymore casualties,” the redhead began, stepping up to him and rifling through her coat pockets, “So let's help her defuse this.” With a happy, and almost sinister grin, she pulled out a large, wrapped candy, and presented it to Usopp. “And if that doesn’t work, eat this and go wild.”
