"Yeah, we were all brought here the same way. Probably." Moon replied, as she glanced around toward the other members of this little group they'd found themselves in. Certainly an odd one, that's for sure. But hey, at least she wasn't alone! That was a start.
Her happiness had faded nearly as soon as it began, however. The man who introduced himself as "Father Anderson" started to approach Vic, blade in hand. Now, she wasn't too versed in this type of thing, but she was fairly sure that equated to a murder weapon in the making. It only took a moment for her to realize that the man was in danger. Her hand instinctively fell to her belt, where only one Poke Ball remained. Wait, what? Eyes widening, the girl lightly patted her side, trying to find her partners. All of them were gone, but one. Only one. She could tell, it was Litten. Maybe it was the slightly charred feel to the ball, or maybe it was the connection they shared, but she could feel it. And it was terrifying.
Maybe she should forget about this. Maybe it was best to leave with her dignity intact. Doubts filled her mind as she assessed the situation. Even through this, she still felt that tug to help. That feeling that had brought her into this adventure in the first place. The will to help people. So with a clenched fist and a locked jaw, she took off running at the "Father", stepping in front of him.
"No," she muttered, glaring at the man. A previously unseen malice was clear in her eye. Moon was not going to let him kill this innocent man. The priest raised an eyebrow.
"But, my chil-" The girl simply cut him off, not bothering to hear the rest of his explanation.
"No! What, do you think we're stupid? You were about to kill him!" She gestured backwards, toward Vic. Well, he wasn't exactly being subtle about it. "And I won't let you."
Her stance was set. Now to wait for his response. All she could hope for is that he would step down.
