Was this a common trait amongst those who aligned with the sun, Somerled wondered. Amaterasu and Sonny both seemed to share endless optimism. The storm spirit cast a quick glance around the room, counting heads, but not really paying attention to details. There were a lot of humans, a lot of weirdos, and likely a lot of weirdos who looked like humans. Where he saw a bunch of people who he wouldn’t trust as far as he could throw, Amaterasu obviously saw a lot of potential allies.

“A few more allies...” Somerled mumbled, a look of thought coming across his face. Why not give it a try? Why not have quite a few allies for once? It’s not like he’d been burned by betrayal before. There should be no reason for him to be so paranoid, but no matter how he spun it, however, he just couldn’t shake that unease. He had hoped the non-answers he’d given earlier would suffice.

“I’m sorry,” he apologized, “I’m not too comfortable with large groups.” At the same time, however, he knew they’d probably need more than just the two of them. “But I’ll still help you find allies, if that’s what you want.”
