Eon made his way towards the village. What he would be walking into he had no clue. What if the village was filled with cannibals, or better yet the Baron himself sitting in a bar waiting to devour Eon. Always on the defensive, thinking the worst. Could you blame him though?
Eon's whole life had led up to the ultimate let down. He was an 'Angel' by birth, raised to be a loving caring person, and then cast into an outside world not so different from The Endless Dunes. Your life was always up for the taking, sure their was lawmen, but when the bandits, bounty hunters, mercenaries and murders outnumber those lawmen one-hundred to one... not much law is taken seriously. A person would always have to be on their guard traveling from town to town, always aware of one's surroundings. Eon put his palm to his forehead and shook his head, the reason those five had surrounded him was because of him being unaware.
He had made his way through his home world of Gunsmoke carefully. This wasn't to say he didn't have relaxing moments, having a drink with good company. Not everyone on Gunsmoke wanted to lie, steal and kill. Many just wanted to live their lives, working towards the betterment of society. Everyone had their role to fill. Needless to say he had met many different characters, made many enemies and many friends. Had a teacher that taught him how to survive in the world and gave him hope. He had faith that he would find The Humanoid Typhoon and rid Gunsmoke of that monstrosity, and he had thought there was someone he could trust to help him do it... Knives...
Knives Millions was to be his savior, but in the end was his demise. He let his guard down, he'd let that smile put him at ease. Knives' smile, was that of a long lost relative that you were nothing but happy to see. Then it morphed into a look that only the Devil himself could make. He opened a black-hole, banishing Eon to a void and from that void came a face. The face of a God, with a sinister joyous smile, he had reach out his powerful hand and grabbed Eon from the void and drug him into his own creation, his own Omniverse...
Omni... Eon wanted to hate him, he wanted to stand before him and show the God what it felt like to fall at the hands of an Angel. But why did he hate Omni? What did Omni do that was so awful? Did he take away all of Eon's loved ones? No. Did he drag him unwillingly to the Omniverse? No, he found Eon in the void and gave him a new home. There was no way Eon could have save himself, he would have died in that black abyss. A cruel game this was, but is the way of life in the Omniverse so different that Gunsmoke? Once again, No, Eon had opportunity here just as he did on Gunsmoke. It is filled with violence and strange creatures, but in all reality he himself was a strange creature in his own home world. A fact he chose to keep from everyone for fear they would reject him, hate him, or worse try to kill him. The life of a Prime is not much different here, and in a way Omni has given Eon the opportunity to be himself here. Who would care about the details of his birth when devil children with horns walk amongst, demons with three glowing green eyes.
"I guess I should say, Thanks.. Omni." He looked up at the sky. He wondered what other places there were here, an all powerful God created this place, all the way down to each individual grain of sand. What other possibilities were there.
Eon stopped before the small stone wall, or fence would be more accurate to describe it, of the village. He had been daydreaming again. If he kept that up he'd might as well walk around covered in ketchup in these cannibalistic lands. He didn't see much activity, nobody seemed to be out. He scoped out what lye behind him and walked in.
This village was on the verge of being a ghost town, all it needed was a tumbleweed, "And there it is..." Eon rolled his eyes as a tumbleweed rolled past. Worn down stone and clay homes, most of which looked abandoned, although he swore he could feel cold gazes on him. There had to be some type of rest area, a bar or something. It was freezing out. Just then he saw movement coming from around one of the small buildings. He slowly moved into shadow and waited.
You got to be shitting me... So this will end up being a common occurrence in this place.
Eon watched as two White Soldiers emerged from around the turn, side by side. He could hear them talking to one another, not exactly what though. They seemed to be on patrol, they could possibly be guards.
Oh great, so I run from enlistment only to wander into a place that is under the control of this faction.
He couldn't just keep avoiding every white armored soldier if that was the case. He emerged from the shadow and walked towards the two guards. They continued talking until they were about twenty yards away and noticed Eon and stopped. Eon held his breath, only a few steps between them.
"You there. You're new to Carrefore. State your name and business." One of the soldiers exclaimed.
"Why yes I am new to this small village. I had a friend invite me here for a few drinks. Said there was great spot around here. Although, by the looks of it. I'm afraid he might have embellished that part. My name is..." A moment of pause, "Eon." He hadn't wanted to say his real name, but screw it. Who was he any way other than a fresh Prime. No real reason to hide who he was from a faction that ruled this place.
"Haha, Your buddy must be a real riot. There's a little shit hole of pub around the corner but if you head to the center of the village that's where you'll find Rick's Cafe Americain. Bought the only thing worth going to here." The soldier pointed over his shoulder, Eon was hit with a wave of relief. This could have gone horribly different. "Oh and I should remind you... The Dunes are under the control of The Empire. You best remember that." Pointing directly at Eon. He nodded in response and made his way past the guards.
The Empire huh? Carrefore. I'll remember that...
Eon turned to enter, what he believed was a bar, as he walked through the door.
