Malon because waifu. In all seriousness, though, unless you're very very pro-stick to canon, what's to say you can't give her a few abilities here and there? For example, something to do with songs mayhaps. She can use songs laced with magic as, I dunno, a support spell, or even an attack.

Just spitballing

That would certainly be a plan - I was moreso having the issue that canon Malon does not really have anything. But due to Omniphysics she would grow much stronger and possibly be able to wield weapons with some degree of efficiency.
