Jean Grey/Phoenix: She's not particularly evil until the Phoenix Force rears it's ugly head. If you want neferious, then have the Phoenix be the dominant aspect.

+ Unlimited potential, perfect for the Omniverse
+ Already a Charles Xavier present!
+ Several plot points, such as having Jean Grey's personality restored
- Requires serious nerfing
- Phoenix personality varies greatly between media, so... yea...[/spoiler]

You could make an OC from the Tomorrow People, uf you've seen it.

Just offering a few more ideas. Also... WATCH the Legend of Korra. Epic show. She's not evil though. XD Just a total badass.
