Zombie met robot. Over and over they clashed, their initial impact jarring enough to shake the ground beneath them. Anyone else standing on the floating might have noticed a minor earthquake from the force of their assault on each other. Birds flew into the air from two hundred meters away, and the rolling purple clouds arrived to score their epic confrontation with violet rain and mist.
"GRUNDY KILL YOU! GRUNDY KILL YOU DEAD! RRRRUUARRRGGGGHHH!!!!"
Dripping, giant fist met purple, metal fist. And this time, Grundy felt the reconstituted bones in his hand crunch. That glowing purple aura around his foe spelled trouble, and the giant zombie was proven right when the soldier Navi executed a spinning fake before carving his chest like a turkey. Grundy roared, stumbling back and watched a finger drop off of his hand, the yellow, cracked bones of his skeleton held together with mossy vines and necrotic energy now exposed. In response to the visible injury, the enraged plantman drew back said fist for another heavy blow, only to be outmaneuvered again and slashed on the elbow.
Flailing wildly, Grundy pressed forward, Colonel blocking his wild strikes with his fist and blade. That glowing purple aura had boosted his enemy somehow, enough to be able to stand up to Grundy's might with much less difficulty. "Do you see now, monster? You have lost already!" the program shouted once more, rain sizzling on his visible energy projection. The same rain matted the dead man's white hair, slicking down his face as he opened his rotten mouth for another angry bellow.
They met again, clashing wildly as Grundy's strikes began to slow down, skin sloughing off him in the rain. More of his magically reanimated bones were exposed, and the plasma burn from earlier had fallen off the white skin from half of his face. A glowing eldritch light peered from an ancient and cracked skull, a grisly peek inside the unstoppable monster's head. Grundy lashed out with one arm, attempting to catch the robot man off balance, but he stopped the blow easily with another offhand swing of his saber....and in doing so, was unable to counter the second grab from Grundy's free hand. He raised his arm to catch the blow, but Grundy simply grasped his entire wrist and yanked, pulling him off his feet to dangle in midair. The sword entangled arm slipped off Colonel's blade while Grundy shook the Navi in his grasp, punching him repeatedly in the gut. He managed to get one or two hefty sucker punches in before the glowing blade went cleanly in and out of his neck, and the monster whipped him into the ground in response.
Bouncing off the rain slicked dirt, Colonel rolled with the force of the blow and came up standing with the blazing violet glow of his powerful aura doubling his silhouette. That only made it easier for Grundy to come barreling forwards like a steam train, shoulder lowered like a pro linebacker. Nearly 900 pounds of angry, undead muscle hit the robot and sent him flying backwards, the Navi desperately trying to stay on his feet while jumping backwards each time he landed. Grundy followed, his momentum carrying him forward on sliced up, battered limbs, roaring and swiping at his opponent angrily each time he came into grasp. Finally, the Navi managed to dodge sideways, carrying him out of the path of the chalky behemoth. Slowing down, he turned around again, his yellow eyes glowing through the lightening rain as the clouds moved to another section of their battleground.
Around him were scattered boulders, most the size of baseballs or tennis balls. He wound up and kicked a scree of dirt and rocks at Colonel, shouting, even as they all fell short. "GRUNDY GOING TO BEAT YOU, AND BEAT YOU, AND BEAT YOU UNTIL YOU DUST! RAAAAAARRGGH!" In response to this, the robotic soldier smiled wryly, sparks arcing from his blade as he charged it up. Green energy flew from the pommel and it made a ominous crackling sound.
Grundy was already on his way towards his opponent. Heavy, thudding footfalls left imprints on the mud as he charged, gathering speed for one final, reckless assault. Arms outstretched, Grundy came nearer and nearer, hands wide as if to grab the Navi once more for a killing blow. Just as he was within twenty feet of his opponent, he leapt, arcing towards the soldier in an ironic imitation of the missile he'd been shot with earlier.
