The behemoth shook his head, spitting a gnarled yellow tooth out of the side of his mouth as he began his slow, inevitable advance towards his opponent once more. He could feel bloody sap leaking out from the hole in his stomach, not to mention the other cuts and slashes he'd received throughout their engagement.
The entire left side of his face was crispy and leaking from that last plasma blast and the vision in his eye was slightly darker than normal, the eerie yellow glow dimmed a perceptible amount. His chest heaved with deep, unneeded breaths, each huff blowing drips of green ooze from the shrapnel wounds on his chest. Grundy was mad, but still enjoying himself. He'd felt that visceral crunch when his elbow drove the mechanical man into the dirt, the sheer thrill and the rush of power from his ungodly might used against another. Time to finish this. Grundy was getting tired of playing with this toy soldier.
Stomping towards the mountain range where Colonel had made his last-of-many rough landings, he saw the dented metal helmet rise between the peaks and whip out a hand outstretched towards him. His opponent looked visibly weary, and the zombie figured a few more good, solid shots would end with a pile of broken metal to play with. Grundy continued walking, pounding his left palm with his meaty right fist and making a loud THWAK. THWAK. THWAK.
"GRUNDY HAD FUN, ROBOT MAN. PLAYTIME OVER NO- WHAT DIS? MORE TOYS FOR GRUNDY TO BRE-?"
His sentence was cut off by a hail of bright green energy rounds thudding into his lacerated body. Roaring, Grundy shielded his face with his massive forearms and charged forward towards the soldier Navi, the plasma blasts interfering with his direction. One stray shot blasted his knee wide open, gouging a hole in his tattered pants and causing his stride to falter. His mad charge slowed down somewhat and he lost sight of his original target as he fought his way through the hail of energy blasts. Reaching out with both massive hands, he grabbed the hapless soldier's legs while the poor cannon fodder attempted to butt him with his rifle. Grundy pulled and with a tearing, awful noise, ripped the man in half.
Roaring as he threw away the two sections of the summoned foe, he then felt a nasty crackling and slicing cut across his back. He turned around with a furious growl, and spotted Colonel, panting with his saber drawn and the green blade shining brightly. Seeing red, the furious zombie gnashed his teeth and charged again at the soldier navi, his foe dashing towards him in kind. They met each other halfway, Grundy's unstoppable rage allowing him to crush through Colonel's attempts at turning aside his blows. One meaty fist snuck through the blade's parrying and sunk into the mechanical soldier's stomach, knocking the wind out of him. As the man bent over, the chalk white hulk roared and grabbed his shoulders once again, lifting him clean off the ground and hefting him completely over his shoulders. However, instead of merely tossing him straight away.....This time, Grundy angled upwards.
Colonel sailed straight up into the air, turning ever so gently at the apex of his climb. The robot flailed desperately as he tried to right himself, or at least avoid the inevitable follow up to Grundy's skyward sling. And then he began to fall down...gaining velocity as he reapproached the ground. Grundy stood there, waiting...breathing heavily, watching his opponent sink like a stone. His fists, clasped together.
"NOW GRUNDY CRUSH!"
He tilted his neck to the side and wound up, swinging just as Colonel was a few feet from the ground.
