Reality Uncheck
#3
Morene's eyes fluttered open once more, only realizing after she heard the strange sobbing sounds that she was about to doze off again. The only thing that stopped the huntress from splashing water on her face from this fountain in which she sat, was the small voice seeming to come from behind said fountain.

She couldn't hear it well, but it sounded distressed. A bit of an accent behind it, too. Either way, it wasn't pleasing to hear, considering she was either about to be baited into another monster's attempt at being eaten alive, or somebody else wasn't in fact as casual to react to this entire Omniverse situation coming in their lives so suddenly.

Stamping her hefty boots onto the bright and blank floor of the Nexus, Morene noted the gentle cries quieting down. Taking her first steps in this new realm, Morene slowly walked around the Fountain of Infinity, sliding her fingers along the ends of the rough brick holding the water in it's place. The huntress kept her eyes onto the other side of the fountain, soon seeing a rather small figure standing there, whom Morene quickly identified as the one making the disheartening cries.

Morene stopped in her place for a second, observing the person she saw was a moderately sized girl in a skirt and uniform, blades in both hands. This girl seemed to not have noticed Morene yet, for reasons the huntress could only guess for now. It was strange, standing there for a few seconds as tears fell down the schoolgirl's face.

The eldest of the two women there couldn't bear to watch somebody cry. Morene felt a very strong urge in her gut to do something, though for once, she didn't quite know what to say. Either way, Morene took another few steps forward to the blue-haired schoolgirl.

Yuuko could hear the faint sounds of feet approach her flank, yet she could not turn. Her head felt as if it were melting, her eyes feeling as though they were puddles in the rain. The schoolgirl did not move a muscle, and she knew not what she wanted as the tears continued to stream down her face.

Though it wasn't long at all, Morene spoke as if she were watching for hours, waiting for her mind to make up something to say.

"My dear," Morene began, her voice clear as day, though gentle as the clouds in the sky, "please don't cry."

Yuuko stopped, flinching rather harshly as the mysterious woman she suspected to be behind her spoke, regretting how her own thoughts blew Morene's rather loud approach off only seconds ago due to her admittedly being lost in her own head.

The schoolgirl turned her head rather frantically, the sight of the huntress taking seat at the fountain only a few feet behind her seeming to pop out like a beast lunging out of a dark crevice. Yuuko took a step back in obvious shock, observing the much older woman before her.

As the schoolgirl stammered, Morene continued, knowing the look on Yuuko's face as somebody who wasn't to keen on conversing in such events as this.

"Come, sit with me."
