Granite tapped on the protective sphere as Jason came up to offer his hand. As the shield faded the gargoyle took the hand of the Zepharian and shook. "I was given the name Granite. I am from Russia." The statue took a second to think of something that would have been a bit more general. "On... Earth. I think the villagers called it. I am what's called a Gargoyle."

Letting go of Jason's hand, Granite gazed hard upon the suit of armor. "Our friend here... He seems to be... Somewhat like me." He then redirects his conversation directly at Phalanx. "There's no one in that armor of yours, I can tell. Were you made with a soul? Or with runes and the like without a soul, like I was?" Granite said. After receiving an answer from Phalanx, Granite states. "Hmm... So you really can't talk... And I figured you were made with a soul..."

Granite then turned back to Jason. "I'm just glad you didn't decide to attack miss Cat..." As he turned to show her to the two, he noticed her shivering in the fetal position, tightly clasping a doll. Granite calmly bent down on a knee and gently put his hand on her back. "Miss Cat," The statue spoke, trying to even out the normal gruf of its voice. "are you okay? Everything has been settled out, and these two are not going to hurt you." As Cat continued to shiver, Granite offered, "Do... you need a hug?"
